Movie Essay

The movie Limitless with Bradley Cooper is the movie I am going  to review.  I think it is interesting how Bradley Cooper takes this one pill and then instantly he is at the top of his game.  With this pill he is able to use all of his brain not just part of it, then come to find out there are more people in the movie doing the same.   

Essay 3

I have flipped through many magazines and have sat down to watch commercials instead of forwarding through them.  I was having trouble picking out just the right advertisement when it finally hit me the St Jude Children's Research Hospital commercial to donate money to help with research for children with cancer.  I know this is a very sad topic and no one ever wants to think about it but I feel there is so much out there that people don't know about.  Did you know that September is childhood cancer awareness month? Many people are not aware of it and it takes so little to help so many.  This topic hits close to home and I feel I can write about it in great detail. 

Modern science

 Modern science and DNA evidence has helped free people from jail and death row.  What an unimaginable nightmare it must be to get thrown in jail, even though your incoccent, and be placed on death row.  Ronald Kieth Williamson spent eleven years of his life in jail an incoccent man and walked out just five days before he was exacuted.  No one can ever give him those eleven years of his life back, but he was fournate that with new DNA evidence he was freed.  Unfortuntly, not everyone was as lucky.  This is very disturbing to think that this could actualy happen to someone and not just in the movies.

Mother

Mother a female parent, an elderly woman, the superior of a convent, one who exercises the authority or protective care as a mother.  Mother is the term I am going to define my own thoughts.  What a mother means to me, what type of mom I am trying to be.  I feel that are all mothers are very special. 

Tortillas

It was interesting to get a little history about tortillas. I never realized that you could use tortillas in  so many diffrent ways, they all sound delicious.  I found it warming  that Jose has many memories as a child that are associated with a food that he is been eating all his life.  I can relate when I think back to my childhood certain foods bring back great memories.  

I want a wife

After reading I want a wife, I too would like a wife.  I feel most people would like to have someone in their life that would be their everything.  To have someone that gives so much and does so much without expecting anything in return.  I think it is selfish of someone to expect that a another person (especially someone their are suppose to be in love with) would have all the responsibilities of life on their shoulders.  I think it is unfair to think that you would dismiss all of your responsibilities while your in school. There should be a team effort, a give and take, and some respect for each other.

My literacy moment

My literacy moment came to me when I was thirty one years old.  I was a wife and a mother of three beautiful children.  My life at home was great.  I was happy and felt needed.  Unfortunately, in the career world I did not have the same feelings.  I felt stuck and unable to contribute to the household income and in a job with no room for growth.  At that point I realized I needed a career that would suit my lifestyle.  I loved being home with my family however, I wanted to be able to work part time and still be able to contribute to house hold income.  That's when I decided to fulfill my lifetime dream of becoming a nurse.  I applied to the LPN program and was accepted! I completed the program and graduated in June 2008.
